Day 19 Drove up the mountain ridge behind Maroochydore without the van to explore. Through Nambour and stopped for devonshire teas at the old Flaxton Estate with magnificent views to the coast. Then onto pretty Montville for a walk in the old town and shopping for Raechel! Next village of Maleny for pies at the bakery and a walk in the rainforest. Great views here to the Glasshouse Mountains. Through Buderim and busy beach town of Mooloolaba back to the van park...

Day 18 Sad to leave Hervey Bay area but we must drive south today. But first a visit to the local botanic gardens and orchid house. Through Maryborough and onto pretty Tin Can Bay for lunch in the shady park. Hit 30 degrees first time on this trip. Onto Noosa but too busy and touristy for us so we continued down the coast to city of Maroochydore where we found a lovely van park by the river. Dinner tonight baked reef fish and seasoned potato wedges with salad.
