Hey Zilla and Paul
Wow this is one hell of an adventure! Sounds like you're having a blast. The journal entries are cool, great way of keeping track of where you are and perhaps also living through you!! =)
Now for a very important question...did you try the mega burger??? And does the coke taste the same over there? For those who don't know I'm an addict, I am of course referring to coca cola!
Was great seeing you in Sydney. Look forward to reading more entries in weeks and months to come!
All the best, enjoy! Cheers to flat hot beer.

Paul hand in your licence you've just lost your manhood admitting you can't read maps anymore. You would have been better to suffer in silence and bluff your way, no one would know.
Frances
Cool photos! Hope that everything's going well in London. Wads and I are off tomorrow! Yay! Might not get much internet time away so HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! I'll have a mai-tai in your honour on the 14th, and I'm sure you'll have several guinesses too so enjoy:)

Estia Festival today - we're heading off for some bbqed octopus and other delights. Open wineries also this weekend - visited Stoney and Puddleduck with Helen and Peter (down for judo) yesterday - very enjoyable.

Yeah - your Japanese needs improving, but seems to have done so - but you can obviously suss out the food - most impressed with the yakitori restaurant and the businessman! - and I have it on good authority - the Japanese students who got REALLY excited -that you ate domburi in a Yoshinoya shop (1st feed) which is a popular, cheap food. The other meal with the cabbage is Doraemon - are you any wiser? Love the photos - temples plus - and cartoons galore - what a culture.
Paul
Sorry about the garbled Tokyo entry. must have tried to translate it to Japanese. Obviously didn't work!
I've fixed it up now, so it's a little easier to read.
Great photos - good to see you are embracing the local culture - cartoons, gadgets and rabbit ears! I guess you will be off to Tokyo Disney - hope the queues are not too long - looks very cold so perhaps the locals will stay indoors. Eat plenty of those leafy greens - ie cabbage - very good for you! Launceston Cup tomorow so Frances in L'ton tonight.
Lauren
Great journal entires guys! Although, the Japan one was a little tricky to decipher but I got there in the end. Can't wait to hear more about your travels - it all sounds very exciting, and it's so good to hear you are having heaps of fun. Oh and the food looks great too! thanks for that. Looking forward to the next journal and more photos. No exciting news from Hobart to report on, at this stage! Have fun and take care. xoxo
Zilla
Thanks Fran, really not interested in Biggest Loser! No Mum, haven't tried the baths yet, but we did go look at the gadgets, so Paul owes me some quality shopping time now! Yep it's very cold over here, on our way from the airport my teeth were chattering and hands went blue!
Frances
Hello little poppet and lil' pauly. Hope you're having a wonderful time - tonight the japenese girls took about 10 minutes to pour themselves a glass of cordial while the rest of us were waiting to have tea...thus I was forced to miss the start of the biggest loser:( I would tell you who was evicted but I know you don't care so I'll just say goodbye for now xx
