paul and tassy's adventure
hi!!!!
so were coming close to the end of our travels now...we've seen and experienced so much in the last 10weeks! but we've still got 10 days left, most of them to try and sell the van(not going to well).
we've decided to make bondi our home for the rest of our time here...its such a great place- it has everything, shops, surf, beautiful beach, and back street parking for campers!!!!only down side is that you have to pay for everything- parking is $5 for an hour and every hour after, we've been asked to move a couple of times- when we fell asleep at the viewing point but luckily they said 'dont do it again'...- $160 fine otherwise.. opps! bet when we drove of they were saying 'bloody pommies'.
we've spent most of your time being tourists and looking around the place, the other day we spent the day in the customers house- which is a huge building built in the early 1900's which is done out as a libary over 3 floors, it also has a posh restaurant and seating areas to read international papers- so we read the times and financial paper! and paul did some revision for his exams!after a few hours we decided to get lunch in mc d's, it was a nice day so we eat our burgers outside along the harbour with the seagulls, paul wasn't very happy with me because i fed one seagul a chip and all the others gathered around when paul was shouting at me (he tends to use his hand to talk) a big seagul came swooping in and took a big bite out of his burger....serves him right!!!
yday we went to centinial park to have a picnic...i think 200 other people had the same idea as it was sunday..the park is huge, it has a horse area where horses can ride all the way around the park or in the jumping area, it also has 3 big ponds where you find ducks, swans and parrots. after our lunch we went to watch the horses (as paul is keen on buying an ex race horse) and headed for the ponds..when we got there we noticed all the parrots, so pretty they are white with yellow feathers on there head..we started hand feeding breadto them and then they all jumped on our arms and head(as parrots do) it was quite funny seeing them in the wild but they are really friendly...they didnt like paul though, they kept biting his fingers when they were on him!!! today we didnt really do much, just walked around bondi junction window shopping!
hope your all well, see you soon.xxxxxx
