hi guys.. before heading for singapore we decided to stop off in a place called melaka(melacca), so glad we did as its one of the nicest little towns we've been to. melacca is very historical with many temples and old buildings. we stayed in heeren inn, chinese family run guest house, in malacca its mainly chinese(75%) in the evening we went to a night market and watched some malay guy put his index finger through a coconut, also do other things like blow fire etc- paul was his assistant- very funny to watch as there were about 50 people watching and laughing, mainly at paul for being silly! we had dinner in a restaurant looking over malaka river, in the morning we were up at 8am to go to english sunday service in malaka church! very interesting as there were so many different religions there, also instead of hyms there was an african girl about my age singing and everyone was up clapping with her(imagine sister act), it was good fun! also in malaka they have taxi/tuktuk's but they are bikes with flowers all over them- we'll show you the pic's as you probably cant imagine it! we're having trouble getting photos on so we'll try again soon! byeee xxxxxxxxxxx
