Soooo we finally made it back to Phnom Penh after another arse-challenging mini-bus ride - 4 people, 3 seats... do the maths.
What a different city now there are people in it, not just tourists and when everything is actually open. It's a big change especially with our latest experience of a big city being Vientiane. We have finally managed to visit the Royal Palace and the silver Pagoda, which had a lot of carpet over the tiles, so not quite the dazzling sight we had in our minds and also baking hot as we seem to always coincide sight-seeing with the hottest part of the day somehow...
We have also made it down to the Russian market and stocked up on a few presents for the various lovely people who are putting us up in Australia, as well as a new frock for me and trainers for Paul (no new ANYTHING in Australia - the exchange rate is already causing a headache and we're not even there yet).
After all the walking we've been doing over the past few weeks, our feet have been in a right state, so we decided to give Dr Fish a go. These are all over the place, and consist of a big tank of hungry fish who nibble off the dead skin on your tootsies. Sounds gross - looks gross. I went first in the smaller fish tank, and once I got used to the tickling, it wasn't actually too bad. Paul then decided to get stuck in and tried the bigger fish tank, who went absolutely mental and swarmed all over his feet, much to the annoyance of the poor American woman who was using the same tank. Clearly his feet were in need of some serious attention, as you can see from the photos...
It's really nice to be back in a city we're already familiar with and to have accommodation already sorted rather than running around like headless chickens. Despite being baking hot, we have also just avoided a couple of soakings as well - it rains seriously hard in Cambodia - thought we'd seen the last of it, but got caught in a torrential downpour on our way out yesterday evening - going to miss the cheap tuk tuk transport.
Finally booked the campervan for Australia - with a few last minute panics as it's peak season so not much availability - we are not using Wicked, Mike, as were concerned we may get a van with a dodgy fender... ahem.

Duds Thankfully you won't pick up a Hippy Camper with a stupendous dent up the side...those pillars in the underground carpark at Sufers Paradise SERIOUSLY DO MOVE!!!!!!
M+P Presumeably they had to restock the tank after Paul had had his feet in it.
