8th May 2006 - Day 38 As I write this the cool breeze brushes past and the sound of the waves crash on the white sand below our new beach hut. Moved places today as our room was already booked up - we could either stay in a room at the back with no beach view or move elsewhere - we chose to move!!! 3rd May 2006 - Day 33 Had a comfortable nights sleep, woke up to find that we were 3 1/2 hours behind schedule, which meant that we would miss our breakfast as it was given to another train. Were told that we would get lunch but when it arrived they only had enough for half the train and instead of spreading it between families, they gave it one half of the train and we went without!! 1st May 2006 - Day 31 Woke up deciding not to stay in the hotel another night as the fan in our room seemed to switch off half way through the night - which meant we couldn't sleep. Place felt like trying to sleep in an oven. Paul spent the night in shower/toilet/outside on the verandah area, suffering 'Varanasi belly'. Moved onto a more expensive but much cooler a/c hotel. The hotel turned out to be a bit of a disappointment as they didn't seem to serve cold...

28th April 2006 - Day 28 Today was a very relaxing and chilled out day. Got up late and strolled down to the Ganga Field cafe for a late brunch. Where they throw together anything they have in the kitchen and serve it up. Sat around playing dominos for the rest of the afternoon. 24th April 2006 - Day 24 What another long - hot day - left Chandigarh heading for Rishikesh. The last two days have been very tiring and very frustrating - bit fed up of travelling. So decided to stay in Rishikesh for a few days - to relax and de-stress (for me I think mostly).
