HI everyone
Technology is getting the better of us at the moment so we don't have any photos uploaded yet.
Anyway we have just finished our 3 days in Singapore and we are at the airport waiting to fly to Auckland.
Singapore was a great experience- a real mix of the old and new with many cultures living quite happilty together. Singapore is doing very nicely, with full employment and a very good standard of living. It is a shopper's paradise with Designer stores everywhere. Food and drink was expensive - on the first night I paid 15 pounds for an orange juice and a pint of Tiger beer!.
Highlights were the trips to Raffles, Little China and Little India. Jen will tell you about the authentic curry that she had- her lips were numb for about 2 hours afterwards. We did have the best Onion Bhajis ever though.
It has been very hot and humid, but no rain until late this afternoon- and did it rain! We were at the botanical gardens which was very relaxing. We walked through the rain forrest area and I saw the biggest spider I have ever seen. It must have been 10 cm across the legs (sorry to Jemma and Beryl).
Raffles was also a great experience. We had our Singapore Slings in the Long Bar of course.
