Only a small update as we have spent our time doing absolutely NOTHING!
We made our way up to the Perhentians from Melaka on a freezing cold night bus and arrived at the port of Kuala Besut just in time for breakfast - raw pancakes (however this was explained by the chef who told us she was 'new to cooking').
We then got on a speed boat across to Perhentian Kecil where we spent our time lazing around on the beach and snorkelling with turtles and reef sharks. This was pretty unnerving at the start, especially as the sharks were circling around us, but was an amazing experience.
Somehow we seem to have lost 6 days on the Perhentians. The islands are amazingly beautiful - white beaches and the clearest water we've seen in S.E Asia. We really wanted to go diving here but due to lack of funds, we'll go in Thailand.
Shona and Paul got selected (due to their primary coloured swimwear I may add) to be models for a photographer taking photos of the beach. Photos to follow in the album!!
We have just arrived in Georgetown, Penang and are staying here for a few days before heading north to Langkawi. Will update soon!!
