Our second day trip out of Dawson Creek was to Tumbler Ridge. Just outside of Dawson Creek, we passed a ridge with windmills. Close to Tumbler Ridge, many more windmills appeared on the high spots. They had reached the Arctic Circle and were off to Prince George to do some hunting. On the road again, our luck continued with wildlife sightings. We saw what we think were a cow caribou and calf. They stayed along the edge of the road until the young one darted down the bank to watch from a safer distance. Next came a couple of stone sheep.
