A lazy start to the day today as we didn’t have to be anywhere until midday. We arose to a nice sunny day although a little windy. After dropping into the local supermarket for some urgent supplies (chocolate) we headed out to Camberwell and had a guided tour of our daughter Claire's latest share house as well as eating a nice teacake that Claire made. Our son Chris gave us a wakeup call at 5:30 as he was returning on the Spirit of Tas after a bit of car buying in Melbourne and dropped by the caravan park for a coffee. Mercifully the rain had stopped and our site had drained since the previous day and we got out with no problem. The Spirit embarkation was smooth and we were soon on our way for the day sailing. The adventure begins! Sarah gave us some nice glass coffee cups for our trip which are pictured here as we were sitting in the pouring rain at Paramatta Creek just south of Devonport. We setup on a grass site which has now become a quagmire as the rain continues. Lets hope we can get out in time for tomorrows day sailing otherwise it will be a 10 week holiday in Tasmania! Ferry goes at 9:00am so an early start on the cards. What could possibly go wrong?

It's less than 1 week until we leave Tassie for our 10 week mainland adventure! Preparations are going well although I'm still building the roof rack to hold the Kayaks! We plan to weigh the car and caravan on Wednesday to ensure that we are compliant! Hopefully the extra weight of Kayaks and bikes won't tip us over the limit. Then there's all the grog!
