On Friday, Nov. 11, 2016, we went to Patriots Point, which is home to the USS Yorktown, USS Laffey Destroyer & USS Clamagore Submarine. We toured USS Yorktown and USS Destroyer which took up most of the day. We did stop and have lunch at a restaurant on the pier which was very good. We also visited the Medal of Honor Museum and saw many different aircraft onboard the carrier.

We took a walking tour through the Gardens & Stableyards. The gardens are the oldest landscaped gardens in the US. We saw exhibits of Eliza's House, the Chapel, Rice Field and the Mill. They had demonstrations of textile making, carpentry, pottery making, blacksmithing and cow milking. We ate at the Middleton Place Restaurant and had our first cup of She Crab Soup - it was wonderful.
