26th Sept Sucre We all love this place - so much to see and do but we have to leave on the 30th on the night bus. None of us are looking forward to this as it's a local bus and the drivers have been known to drink and drive at the same time which is bad anyway but if you could see the road we have to take it just drops off 200 metres at times .

24th Sept Potosi Uyuni to Potosi is a six hour drive. We could have taken a public bus but this one would stop for the loo or if anyone was sick. It only cost another US$2 each. For 6 hours we drove, and in all that time we never went on a road. I thought the desert crossing was bad but this was unbelievable. The dust was so bad that you had to cover your mouth and nose. Well here I am in the desert at a place called San Pedro. I had forgotten how bad the internet place was! Back to no letters on the keys, very slow, and a mind of its own. I will not do another blog till I get to a place called Potosi which will be 24th Sept as we cross the desert tomorrow then on to the salt flats. That will take 3 days. For that time we will have no internet,phone nothing.

21st Sept The Desert Crossing We leave San Pedro on a bus that will take us to get our passports stamped, then on to the border with Bolivia which is another hour away.There are 3 4x4 jeeps waiting to take us on our 3 day crossing of the desert, salt flats and climb 300 metres.
