Feliz Navidad, Merry Christmas from the Spanish archipelago of the Canary
Islands. Santa found us even though two days ago we were going to be in
Malta for 16 days, then Lanzorote and now we are in Gran Canario. Staying at the Gloria Palace
Resort on the coast next to Las Palmas. It's OK but no maltezes
anywhere. Hoping the return flights are delayed for a few months. Drive from Dublin to Cork was terrible; over five hours of black ice, freezing fog, snow and craziness; and then we hopped in the car. (that is an attempt at humour!) Weather here is fabulous and the pools are grand with views over the Norht Atlantic. On the Air Europa flight down, Camilla showed me the may and asked where we were going...........Lanzarote I answered so she showed me the airline mag map that they didn't go to Lanzarate. I guessed at Palma.... Camilla showed me a place in the Med off Spain. Beats me. Anyway we landed in Gran Canario. Astonished, I said "agarrar a alguien por sorpresa". I was taken by surprise........Cheers, the irish guerins

Kate Cross Happy Christmas guys! Great to see you soaking up the sun instead of battling the snow. It is still raining buckets here so you're getting the best of the world's weather there I suspect.Happy New Year xxxx
Loren Wilkinson It certainly does like you are you doing it tuff?? That pool?the kids club ?- I think 5 hours of black ice sounds like it was well worth it! You must be missing all the rain we are experiencing at present? Thinking of you having a fabulous time!! Have a pina colada for me! xx
