Ozygurus: Family of Four
Dobar-dan (Croatian), Buongiorno (Italian) and Bonjour (French), to our friends. We hope you enjoy reading our fourth Kids blog entry. There are some new pictures and videos that we hope you can view. During our last days in Croatia we visited Dubrovnik where we walked around the city walls. We also visited the turquose coloured Plitvice Lakes which have cascades and waterfalls over white tufa rocks. There are bears in the surrounding national park but we didn't see any. We spent a lot of time swimming in the sea in Croatia and the water was very clear and beautiful. We then drove to Italy to explore Venice which is a city built on 117 islands and has 150 canals and over 400 bridges. Dylan loved the gondolas and Macayle loved the face masks! There were millions of tourists and pigeons here. We also visited a moat-surrounded castle (Estense Castello) in Ferrara which was filled with exquisite frescos and old cannon balls and it also had a dungeon and a drawbridge. Next to the campsite was a huge festival with bands, face painting, stalls and fireworks. After this we went to an area in Italy called Tuscany where we swam in hot springs that bubble out of the ground (Rapolala Termes). These were discovered by the Romans thousands of years ago. We also went to a medieval city called Siena when they held their annual pagaent and bare backed horse race, the Il Palio. The countryside here is covered with stone hilltop villages and lots of castles. The next area we visited was Umbria where we stayed on the shore of Lago (Lake) Tarsimeno in a camping ground with a kids club and kids disco and swimming pool full of slippery slides. We had a lot of fun. We are doing our school work everyday either inside our motorhome (TITO the KETTLE VAN) or next to it in the camping grounds. You can see pictures of some of the fun things we have been doing. We miss you and are thinking of you. We will be leaving soon for Spain with western France and the United Kingdom (Scotland, Wales, Ireland and England) next. Love from Macayle and Dylan Guerin; Au revoir!

nahd Hi Dear Macayle and Dylan, I really liked your email and I hope you come back soon. I have been going to school a lot of days and it's heaps of fun. I have been going to art classes with my friends and I have done 3 canvasses there with really lovely pictures on them. One has a milkshake glass and some lemons. It's all pretty colours and the other is of the same things except it has only blacks, browns and greys. The other one is of a fish and is like a puzzle. My Grandma has moved to Brisbane now. She has a Brisbane house and an Oakey house but she's going to sell the Oakey house and stay in Brisbane near us. She is living right near school and we sometimes walked home there when Mummy and Daddy were away. I can't wait for you to come home. Love, Hannah (and Dan)
asepatrick Dear Macayle & Dylan Hello Thanks for the great travel blog. I really liked the video of you on the ferry in Venice. Missing you heaps & heaps. Can't wait for your next blog. Love Ella Patrick xxxooo
Matt Shepherd Hi Dylan and Micayle Your holiday looks wonderful. Our pool is cold and full of leaves, our chickens have stopped laying and winter is really making it cold here in brisbane. You are both so lucky to be there in the warm sun, swimming by the lakes and seeing the beautiful south of France. Please keep taking photos of interesting things, we are really enjoying your story.
