Dear All!

FINALLY!!!!! MY chance to let you all know I AM ALIVE!!!

IT is currently 5.20am on Saturday 7 April 2007!

I am in Green Cove Springs, FLorida, which is about 40 minutes away from Jacksonville...

I flew from Phoenix on Tuesday afternoon, stopped over in Dallas for what was meant to be two hours... It turned out to be about 3.5hours - Due to bad weather, and lightning in the area (yes, I was ... very scared about getting back on a plane!!)

ANyhow, while waiting at the airport, i had some yummy beef tamales (Mexican)

the plane ride was good. a bit bumpy and scary that i could see the rain out the window ... however, i convinced myself that surely i was not the first person to be on a plane in the rain !!!!!!! haha

At the airport, nearly 2hours late, Debbie Brock and her husband steve, greeted me!
Deb is a friend I met just over 2 years ago through.... eBay!! anyway, we have spoken nearly everyday for the past couple years and become very good friends, what first brought us together was our love for shoes (see, i bought some off of her on ebay! hehe palapa34 is her store name, check it out) anyway!!! She is lovely! and EVERYTHING i EXPECTED her to be!!! hahah (To all you cynics out there.... MOM!!??) hehe

ANNNNNnnyway!

Deb and her husband got me straight into things, the day after i arrived, i went to their dancing class with them and watched, bye the end of the night she had me signed up for the guest class the next night which we then attended.

It was fabulous. the only ballroom dancing i had ever learned was the cha cha in year 10.... it was some good social fun and i will definitely be going back to learn some more moves. last night (guest night) involved the swing and the rumba.... fuuun dances!! :) i even bought a couple skirts today i can wear... afterall, i didn't really bring many clothes with me.

THis part of Florida, check out the map, is really cool. I haven't seen a lot of it yet, but tomorrow we should be going to St Augustine. It is the oldest city in America.. ooooooooooohhhhh golly, i'm getting butterflies just thinking about it. I'm SOOOO excited to go!!!! I know i'm going to fall in love with all the spanish architecture!!!! EEEK!!!!! it's just beautiful, look it up!!!

THen we'll also go to jacksonville this weekend too... just so i can see the 'city' i am not sure what the population is, but it's a small city. deb seems to think it's the new seattle and that i wil be able to (yeah, once i learn some songs and practice) get a little music gig somewhere.... WHICH, i'm tres excited about!! well the idea excites me at least.... whether i could follow through's another matter.

SO far i've had some good old FRIED CHICKEN, that was my first meal, it was from Poppeye's, a southern kfc type place.. it was yum. my favey thing was the Red beans and Rice (one dish) side..... SOOOOOOO yummy!!!

Deb has been really nice and introduced me to some of her sons friends (he's a marine, and after being in iraq for about 8 months, is back in the usa, in california at the moment) so that they can take me around and show me the 'young person' stuff, as she says....

They also have a nice pool and hot tub in their backyard here, its like a little resort. :)

ANYWAY!!!! its 5.32 am actually so i'd really beter go!!!!!!!!
