"BEST NIGHT OF MY LIFE -- YES, A DREAM COME TRUE!"

Well... This could POSSIBLY turn out to be the LONGEST BLOG i've ever written but I will spare you all the heartache of having to read, yet ANOTHER of my NOVELS by trying to summarise a little...

Approximately 4-6 weeks ago I purchased a ticket to see Bryan Adams in concert. Usually I'd take Nanny with me but for some reason I decided only to get one ticket in the hopes of finding a closer seat.

Anyway, as I do at all concerts, I was trying my best to get Bryan's attention, to catch his eye, I mean who knows, they may pull you up on stage one day to sing or they may come sign your shirt or take you backstage....etc...

When he firt came out on stage, I motioned with my hands and blew him kisses -- and yes, he saw and smiled at me! ;) I was having such a good time and haven't smiled that much in a long time!! I made sure to give him a good glimpse of my pearly whites! hahaha

Anyway, so for those of you who don't know, its my lifelong dream to be called up on stage by a famous singer (eg neil finn, keith urban, bryan adams..............) and then sing a song with them, doing the harmonies.

So, of course, as it does at every concert, the thought crossed my mind 'what if he took me up on stage' or 'who out of this crowd would he pick? oh PLEASE let it not be hER!'

Sure enough, about 3/4 way through the concert he said "for this next song i want to bring someone up on stage to sing with me" and my heart just started pounding.... the room just overflowed with cheers and screams, and i started jumping up and down yelling and cheering... Please, me me me me me!! I had a good feeling about it, I truly did.... I knew he had noticed me earlier in the night, really just having a great time, smiling at him, blowing kisses.... You know ;)

So he kind of glanced over the audience and said "now, this COULD be like american idol gone wrong..haha.... and you have to know the words to the song... it's called 'when you're gone'...." and some of the audience cheering died - as did some of mine, as I didnt know that song! I was like dammit dammit lauren you dont know it! He can't pick you he can't pick you! This could hav been YOUR MOMENT! THen he proceeded to play a couple lines from it "Baby when you're gone, I feel like i'm in love... days go on and on" and I JUST JUMPED AND SCREAMED AND was like "OMG I KNOW IT!!!"

and so I yelled out, "I can harmonise with you!!!!!!!" (as if he heard).... Then he continued to glance over the audience. I was like PUT ME OUT OF MY MISERY!!!!! YOU KNOW YOU"RE GOING TO CHOOSE ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He said "And it has to be someone with a little enthusiasm...." AND the moment he said that.... I knew it WAS IN THE BAG BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I had the best (un-intoxicated) enthusiam there (haha okay slight exaggeration!) but anyway.... he started to look back in my direction and I had stopped jumping and cheering and screaming.... These actions had mellowed down into a begging stance, left hand clutched and held to my heart, right hand reaching out AT HIM, grasping at him going "Please please pllllllllleaaaaaaase you KNOW how bad i want this....!! You KNOWWWW I want to ! Please"

He pointed in my direction (there was a woman in front of me too) and was like "what about you" and i was liek "OMG YES!!!!!!!! yes PLEASE!!!!" (and so was the woman in front of me) but then he said "Yes, you the one with the beads...." I WAS WEARING A LONG STRAND OF PURPLE/maroonish beads around my neck!!!!!! AND I was just LIKE "YESsssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss
ssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

He was like "can you sing/ do you know the words?" and i SHOOK MY HEAD goddammit!!!!!!!!!!

So i was escorted out the back by security people, I got up on stage with him, the crowd cheered, we hugged..... He asked me my name, what I did, etc.... and then he was like "So who else are you here with tonight.??" and i was like ".... Myself.....:("

in my little pathetic tone!! AND everyone was just like awwwwwww and was cheering and then he told me that I was not alone anymore tonight because i was with him and all the 1000s of ppl in the crowd.... I just kept looking at him with this half frown on my face, which is actually a happy ('disbelief') frown..... hahaha

THen anyhoo...... WE got straight into the song and i couldnt hear myself t save my life and went off tune heaps but then sounded good sometimes....

THen in the guitar solo bit, we were facing eachother and were really close together, lol and then he was like turn around so i turned around and he was playing his guitar like right on my A** and we were shakin it on stage!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyway, my mouth was also so dry and sticky, i was dying for water....... THen he just decided to reach out and PASH ME!
Okay that part is a lie.

BUt the rest is true! So the song ended, we hugged again kissed on the cheeks he escorted me off stage and then said how well I did and I thanked him sooo much........... He gave me his guitar pic! ha!!!

Backstage roadies said i was the best person so far on the tour (phoenix was the 13th stop out of 16) and theygave me some tshirts and stuff..........

ANYWAY I got back to my seat and ppl were coming up and congratulating me and stuff the rest of the night!! Bryan smiled at me again when I blew him another kiss, he blew one back....

So a couple people said they got photos and gave me their email ........ I met up with one couple today and had agreat chat and they got lots of photos,,, so i will upload them now.......

BUT WHO KNEW, DREAMs CAN COME TRUE!!!!!!!!! :) hehehhehehe

I might haev to add stuff later, I can't remember if i missed anything important

ANYWAY it was awesome amazing and surreal.

p.s. i realise i look huge in the photos and although i have gotten a bit fatter, the shirt, the angle and the fact i'm standing next to bryan adams the skinny
