Some of my biker friends will be interested in this little foray. I visited a guy who taked his passion all the way to the top. Richard Moore (Moorespeed LTD) has hand built a BMW GS to the ultimate spec. The quality of his workmanship is unquestionable. The attention to detail is awesome. The Moorespeed BMW has an estimated top speed of 130 mph and develops around 90 HP. The performance comes from mods to the head, pistons, conrods, air filter and a reduction in weight to approximately 185 kgs. He has sourced the best components from around the world and put them into a basic proven bike. Compared to the money spent on modern Dakar bikes, this bike is realatively cheap. The client has requested full Dakar Rally spec and for £18,000 that is good value. This might read like an advert but the guy is so passionate about his work he deserves all the credit I can muster. Many of his mods are available for sale and if you want to join the 'serious' league, then contact him via email ( [email protected] ). His company name says it all. Anyone who can spend their nights on a dynatune extracting HP for clients in race and rally bike and cars for a living has a slightly 'highly tuned' mind. I wonder what he dreams about????? Have a look at the pics.

Paul Hi - great post! By the way, the Moorespeed website is now live at http://www.moorespeed.co.uk The 'Technical' page gives dyno-graphs which show the power output produced from the parts that Richard produces.
