Day 44 Packed up and reluctantly drove out of Mt Gipps station and shut the gate behind us. We could easily have spent much longer here and almost regret not coming here at the start of our trip to Australia. Day 43 Finished off the painting of doors and windows in the early afternoon so headed off to explore a bit more on the 4WD tracks through the property. Along the track we saw a Bluetongue lizard, recognisable, funny enough by it's blue tongue. Also passed goats traps as there are loads of wild goats running around. These are sold to be sent to India, etc for meat. Also passed by an old village ruins and mines used at the turn of the last century. Barbecue...

Day 42 After getting washed up, walked over to old damn via a disused railway line and then watched the sun disappear from the veranda with a beer or two. This evening we had lamb stew for dinner, (mmmm) and said goodbye to Kym who was heading off the next day to drive 11hrs the next day. Overnight: Mt Gipps Station

Day 41 More painting but seeing as it was my birthday we were told to 'knock off early" and we duly obliged. We took a cool bag of beers out to a gorge on the property which was just beautiful in the afternoon sun. Day 40 A few days ago met a guy at the Royal Flying Doctors Service tour who had just come back from a week on an outback station and we thought we would give that a go too. So we called them up and they were heading away to pick up rams but it was arranged that we would start today.
