Over the Hills and Far Away
Tomorrow is a travel day. We head to the airport at 9 am. So that means that this is it. I got up early and am having a cup of tea overlooking the beach pondering "the end". Last week I was pretty sad about wrapping up our adventure. Then Anthony hit the right note and said, "Yeah, but we did it." That is my new motto. It's true. We did it. And just like that I am ready to go home happy. We will be forever closer as a family and changed in so many positive ways because we committed to our dream.
We are putting together a wrap up blog of the whole trip. When I read it, it blows my mind. We have taken the equivalent of a lifetime of vacations. And now to quote Nina, "I'm done. Take me to Grandma's."

Kathy Nina, Grandma is at the grocery store right now buying all of the food you requested. Especially the homemade chocolate cupcakes. Don't forget to save some cupcakes for me! Sorry the adventure is coming to an end, but so glad it was amazing. Can't wait to see you all. Love, Kath
Erin I always wondered what the "last" blog would look like. We all started this journey with you last August and feel sad about it ending, too. It will be great to have the Grazianos back, though. Here's to a ton of great memories!!
Gangsta' Granny Not many people HAVE such a big dream for their lives, much less carry through with it. You are such a wonderful family. Can't wait to see you tomorrow night. Gotta finish at the grocery store now. Bye...Granny
Kathy Essma Can't wait to see all of you. Love, Aunt Kathy & Uncle Ray
Leah Groya I dont believe We've ever met...I went to college at Michigan State with your sister Kathy. Kathy posted to fB about your blog when you first started your adventure. I was pregnant with my 3rd baby and dealing with insomnia. I checked out your blog one night at 3:00 am and have followed your travels ever since! My son is now 5 months old - Your family adventure has gotten me through all the late night feedings, diaper changes, late night rocking, and most recently, teething troubles. I've so enjoyed your adventures and more so your senses of humor! Much like your sister and parents :). My favorites were the rental car dramas early on and the number of times you embarrassed your children - particularly dancing on the table. I'm sure you feel blessed to have had the opportunity - and will feel more so as the days go on. Personally, I'm going to miss the hell out of you guys and your escapades. You were there when I needed the mental escape - and for that I'll be forever grateful! Cheers to being home and living the dream!
Amy Leah, Your message made us so happy. Thank you so much for letting us know that you were out there reading. If you need a new "mental escape" I suggest Breaking Bad! Hope we get to meet someday.
