Sunshine at last! Perfect day to visit Port Arthur. Quite a nice drive but the typical Aussie 'dead' looking landscape - even the housing is drab. Headed south of Hobart with three sites to visit. Firstly almost as far south as you can go to Ida Bay and to a little "railway" that runs from the village 7 kms down to Deep Hole, a bay where limestone was shipped out from. Arrived in Devonport on time to a very wet welcome. Collected car and headed south into the mist. Breakfast from the bakery at Campbelltown. Sunny one minute, pouring down the next all the way into downtown Hobart.
