The warning was reduced to a Level 3 by about 4:00, so we went out for a walk after dinner. There were a lot of leaves and some branches where there were trees, a portion of a sign down, but didn't notice much else. Apparently the waves were huge today.

Woke up this morning to a Level 8 Typhoon warning! That's on a scale of 1-10! Level 8 means people are sent home from work and there is limited subway service available. At Level 9, all subway service shuts down. Our friends have invited us to their place for lunch, but we've decided it's best to stay put. We were seated in the center part of the plane, so we did not have a window. It wasn't until we landed and taxied to the terminal that we saw how hard it was raining outside. Water was pouring off the plane in sheets. Luckily, the area where you queue up for the various busses from the airport is covered.
