hello again!!
sorry for the non-blogging the last days.
we have had a very busy week because of our assignment we had to write. (det internationale område - DIO)
Mondag, tuesday and wednesday we just wrote and discussed our assigment, we choosed the main topic "ireland in a clobalized Europe", and wrote about all the big companies from USA who have choosed to establish here in Ireland and why they exactly choosed ireland instead of united kingdom.
our hostmom have worked for IDA which is the company who helps and bring all the american companies to Ireland, so she actually had all the answers.
Thursday we had to present it, and it went well, actually, very well! we got an A (12) !!
While we wrote the assignment, we still had a lot to see in Dublin. Tuesday, were we supposed to go to dublin castle, but something went wrong and we ended up at Guiness beer instead. a guided tour i 7 floors with a bar and the most beautiful view at the top floor.
the actual tour was a bit borring, but guiness warehouse is a must-see in Dublin.
Wednesday: wrote all day, and in the evening we were dancing. Irish dance!!
2 twin ladies (23 years old), worldchampions!!! were teaching us how to do. it look quite easy, but it is so difficult, and very funny watching at the other students while dancing ;-)
thursday/yesterday we presentet our assignment in front of an irish teacher and our danish teacher. in the afternoon we went to the jameson distillery (whisky). this tour was not very good, we thought it would be special, but the history of a whisky is not so interesting, but the boys could participate in whisky tasting. after the tasting we all went to our favourite pub and ate dinner together because 6 of the students (incl. linda) had to go home this morning.
today/friday, linda went home (actually, her bag cracked, when she lifted it :-D). But nina and I had to start to our work today. we were both looking very much forward to it.
I can only speek for myself right now, but at my work, they were very sweet, and i went to the court to get some documents stamped and delivered, and on monday i have to go to the court all day on the defenders side. (my company handles insurance cases in court and take care of courtcases for firms that are too long away from dublin to go there themselves).
Nina started at her work yesterday to a conference. and today she has been to the Handball championsship just outside dublin. this evening she was invited by her new boss to see a football match at a pub with him and another student.
this weekend we are going to relax and enjoy :-)
take care!
