Back in Bangkok to celebrate Songkran, the celebration of the Thai's New Year. The festival begins with Thais bathing buddhas and the family elders gently with water before erupting into an all out water fight!! 15th April Hi all! Just arrived on the paradise island of Koh Phi Phi, after a 24 hour journey from Bangkok via sleeper train (16 hrs passing the border of Burma), tuk tuk, local bus, songthao, mini bus and finally ferry! Ash-Arrived in Ayutthaya today after an uncomfortable 2 and a half hour train journey north, decided to get 3rd class tickets due to price and the opportunity to sit with the locals!
