Hello!
Yesterday was a pretty busy and tiring day. We had a long flight over the ocean where we were basically following the sun, so it never got dark! We landed in Helsinki and had a couple of hours to sleep, read and plan out what we were going to do once we got to Oslo!
We landed in Oslo and figured out how to navigate to the car rental desks. We had a bit of a scare when the agency couldn't find our reservation, but then Keely realized she was at the wrong desk :) We picked up an Oslo pass for museum entrances, and then we went off to find our van.
Luckily for us, Kevin is a pro at driving a manual, and navigated us out of the airport, through the city, and up to the Holmenkollen ski jump. What a sight! It was a great place to start because you can see all of Oslo from the top of the lift. There was also a ski museum where you could see how much Norwegians have always loved skiing, and all of the different types of skis they've used over the years.
After that, we checked in at our hotel, Coch's Pensojat. We have three rooms on the fifth floor. They are clean and cozy, and as tired as we were, anything with a bed was perfect! We went out for a quick dinner at Rust, just down from our hotel. We had burgers and tapas, and by the end we were all ready for bed.
