We arrived about 9pm and immediately set up camp. I decided to try something a bit different with the sleeping arrangements. This trip I used a camp stretcher and mozzie net. The night was quite still and not a mozzie to be found so I soon opted out of the mozzie net and decided to sleep in my sleeping bag "out in the open".
We soon had a fire cranked and it wasnt long before we settled in to deep conversation. This ultimately lead to the DVD player being started up and a look at a show called "Deadwood" that my camping buddy had convinced me to watch.
It wasn't long until my eyes were heavy and I drifted off to sleep.
I awoke soon after to the sound of the wind moving violently through the trees - quite unexpected as an hour earlier the night was dead still. The wind was making the trees creak and animals nervous (evidenced by their shrills) and it soon reminded me I still get a bit scared out in the bush!
A friendly possum caught my eye as it walked over the bonnet of my car and on to the roof. I wasn't too worried about the critter until the next morning when I discovered he had managed to chew the front part of my seat whilst the bike was still attached to the car!
We rose early and cooked bacon and egg burgers on the gas bbqs. Nothing beats home grown eggs for flavour.
Langford Park is a rehabilitated bauxite mine. It is now a picnic area, mountain bike, walk and horse network of trails. We had the MTBs with us and were keen to explore the single track.
We rode for a couple of hours exploring the numerous tracks through the forest before packing up and heading home. A couple of potential future campsites were investigated and assigned to memory for our next visit.
Hopefully in May 2011.

Bhavik When I saw this page, I thought about two thgnis. First was, I wonder if Yuen's confused by Meela asking why he looks like her, or if he already knows that he appears to her in that way , and the second thought was that Yuen looks cuter and more innocent as Meela to me. But probably only because he looks so much like Feral there, I keep thinking of the bigger Feral instead of a kid. ^_^ Hmm (considers re-reading comic, keeping this in mind)
