Caz's adventures
I am now in Queenstown or rather Crazy town!! Since I have been here it has been non stop partying and I have sold my sould to the Devil by signing up for the Trilogy which is a combination of three bungee jumps. I have already done two, the first one was off Kawaru Bridge which is over a very beautiful lake and is a 43 metre drop. The next one was off "the Ledge". We had to get a gondola up to the top of a mountain to get to this one and the views were absolutley amazing, could see right across Queenstown. The ledge is on the edge of a cliff and I had to run off it attached to nothing but a bungee string!! It was a wicked buzz and even better because I did it at night, this one was 47 metre drop. My mate Nicole and I wanted to do it together but you are not allowed to tandem off that one so when it came to Nic\'s go she bottled it and couldn't bring herself to jump. I am yet to do the Nevis which is three times bigger than both of these 440 feet to be precise and you throw your self off a cable car and you are left to dangle over a canyon...8 seconds of pure adrenaline...think I have gone mad, I am dreading this one!!
I am going to stay here for about another week as I am waiting for a friend to join me and we are going to make our way up to the North Island together on the Kiwi bus, should be fun!
Queenstown in beautiful and there is always something happening, I am surrounded by lakes and mountains. It is like being in the swiss alps and it has gone from gorgeous sunny weather to freezing cold! I have had to go and buy myself a warm jacket and some wooly granny boots which are bright pink and dont go with anything really but I liked them!
Nothing more to report for now, having a break from partying tonight as I am being picked up at 6.30 am in the morning to go to Milford Sounds which is supposed to be an amazing National park full of waterfalls and moutains. It takes about 6 hours to get there and we have a four hour cruise across Milford so it will be a long day but a worthwhile one I\'m sure!
Say a prayer that I survive the Nevis!! I am going to do it this week but have not decided what day!!
Love Carolina
