Day 139

Loshoto - Pangani (Peponi Beach Campsite)

SARAH: Goodbye Taco and Brenda…we'll see you next in S.A.! We parted company and made our way to the coast. We had our first police check and he wanted to fine us for having a dirty Landy…but we got let off! Peponi beach is just awesome and just what we had hoped for…camping right on the beach which looks pretty rustic and probably how it looked 20 years ago. Tall coconut palms surrounded us and we have a palm shelter next to our camp (either for rain or for falling coconuts??). There is also a pool here and the sea is warm plus the sun is out and it's hot! This is a winner spot where we can get stuck for a few days! I feel as though I'm on holiday from my holiday so chilled all afternoon and got an earlyish night.

BRUCE: Not too much to write about today other than we had a great time relaxing around the camp. Did some washing in the morning, and some emailing in the afternoon and that was about it. Oh ja, watched the boks lose to Aus which was not great! We had a great braai and a few beers in the evening in Marc's honour and it's fitting that we are on the Indian Ocean to do it. Damn, he would have loved a trip like this!

SARAH: Another day of chilling on the beach, swimming, reading and walking picking up sea shells. I could stay here for weeks!! It was another tough day in Africa!

Day 142

BRUCE: Yep, we're still here!! Did some work on the Landy today, changed the rear brake pads and did my usual checks. This is a really great place, so beautiful and peaceful, and we could spent ages here! We have decided to tear ourselves away and move on tomorrow though. We treated ourselves to dinner at the restaurant here tonight and it was absolutely spectacular!! I had a surf and turf which was filet steak with prawns and calamari and Se had fish. This place just gets better!! You Londoners should get out here for a week!
