9th July. Burketown to Normanton. 221 kms. As were a little disappointed in Burketown we had greater expectations for Normanton. 1st up was pick up our puncture repaired tyre at Service Station. Nothing to stop us we were on our way early. A stop in Bourke for fuel, an early lunch and a look at this beautiful building being renovated. We neared the border and stopped in to see Mrs Crawley at the Tattersalls Hotel just before the Q'ld border for a beer for Bill and soft drink for me. Today we left Jan, John Lindsay & Glenis just as it was beginning to spit rain. The light rain lasted a few hours.
