We're pleased to announce we made it to Perth, fashionably three days late! We had a pretty long day to make it here, leaving our hostel in Auckland at 3 a.m. to catch the six o'clock flight to Melbourne where we had another four hour connecting flight to Perth. At the airport we took a shuttle into the city centre and then a bus out to Scarborough where we are staying, on the bus we encountered our first "helpful, tourist friendly" Australian (note the sarcasm!)...

Nothing is going to stop us tomorrow we're getting on the plane and we're heading to Perth, via Melbourne that is! As I've felt better the last couple of days it feels like we've been sat wasting time but hey sh*t happens! Luckily and strangely it was a pretty good hostel we found near to the airport so we've made ourselves at home in the lounge hogging the remote control! After having our last bus journey, thank god, from Taupo up to Auckland a couple of days ago we are having a little city break here before the next part of our adventure in Australia!
