Wake up at noon after the party in Roppongi the night before. A very nice brunch was awaiting for us, made of "crêpes", eggs, yakult ad so on... The weather was not so nice during the afternoon. Wake up at noon after a 10 hour sleep : pretty good for a first night in Japan! We can say that the plan to fight jetlag is a big success! Our reward for such a success was to have brunch under the cherry trees in Tsukuba, and thus experience a strongly anchored japanese tradition : Hanami. This was a great moment! After the kissing comes the first interaction with japanese people : exchange of our JR coupons. Everything went smoothly and our JR passes are now ready for use strating on Tuesday 13th. For the record, the JR ticket office is at -1 floor when you arrive, on your right. But for now, the main objective of the day is to fight jetlag and to stay awak...

We finally boarded our 747 flight to Tokyo Narita right on time. Meals were surprisingly good and we managed to sleep during a few hours. The whole story starts with a difficult wake-up at 4:15 am in order to be on time at Toulouse Blagnac airport for our 8am flight to London Heathrow.
