We woke up with the sun and O* directly dived in the sea to wake up, later followed by B* and other members of the group.













Thanks to the orientation of the campsite, we could avoid direct sun for breakfast and enjoy the all relative "freshness" of the morning.
But once on the kayak, there was no wind at all, the sea was like a mirror and the sun was powerfully shining. In a word, it was hot!














After some time of paddling, we stopped on a tiny beach, to "cool off" in the water and to snorkel.We had fun exploring the seabed that plunges abruptly: many colorful fishes were around.































Sibi Village
We then left to another location where we could have lunch. But on our way, Marco figured out this site will be exposed to direct sunlight and considering the hot air temperature, we then headed directly to Sibi, at the far end of the Sham bay, to find some shade.
















While unloading the kayaks, Sa*, a local inhabitant of Sibi village, came to meet us and greeted us. Actually Marco had already met him the week before in Sibi and Khasab. Sa* proposed that we come and have coffee with the inhabitants after lunch.

We had lunch in the shade. Sa* actually had to leave on his boat, so the meeting was postponed to breakfast the next morning (see next post).

Sibi Island
After a quick nap, we went back on the kayak to paddle to Sibi island and spend the afternoon over there.




















We disembarked in a small cove and we went to the top of the island. O* really liked this place: very barren, very rocky, and with a great view on the whole bay.
































Going back to the campsite was more athletic. The wind had risen and was blowing against us. It was fun to paddle in the waves that were crushing on the bow.

Back to the camp, we set up the tent for the first time. Although it was a two person tent, it seemed pretty small...

For dinner, Marco had prepared pasta bolognese (yum !).
After dinner we (O* and B*) spent the evening discussing with Marco about being a guide, past, present, and future. It was really interesting.

Around 23:30, after some star gazing, we went to sleep in the tent, which was really small : O* could barely fit in, and being two inside, with no air, was so hot that B* eventually slept under the stars.
