Happy Fourth of July America! In Berlin now...this city has amazing food! There are all kinds of places to eat, different types of food, and decent prices too. They have a lot of asian restaurants...there are thai, chinese, japanese, and indian places everywhere. While walking around last night to explore the city, we discovered a giant section of the park where they set up about 6 giant tv screens for watching the big game tonight. Its like a festival. They put food and beer stalls throughout and its like one big block party for the germany football game tonight. Rodger and I decided that this would be a really interesting experience, and most likely something we wouldnt want to miss....so we are going to watch the game with probably hundreds of other people...all outside tonight. If germany wins...I assume its going to be one big party. Also...went over to the Berlin Wall today. There is still a section that is left up, as a sort of gallery/memorial. There are murals painted on sections of the wall, with lots of funky colors...and some more serious. But, all really interesting to see and touch up close. Berlin is a very modern city, with sprinkles of the old. Its a cool mix and the city is huge. I am still really enjoying Germany. The hostel we are staying at is supposed to look like a spaceship inside, so says the comments about it online at least. I dont think it does...but its still nice. I should go, because pretty soon...we are off to watch the game with probably everyone else in the city. This was a bad update but i am feeling a bit tired. Please forgive me.
