So it took me two countries later to finally write the blog for Costa Rica…but better late than never.

Costa Rica, well, was a vacation from our vacation.Spending time with Widge and Pete was great…and we definitely got to do so many things that we hadn't done in our travels thus far.

Deep sea fishing was one of them!My vegetarianism, needless to say, didn't last all that long, because before I knew it I was taking down a giant Mahi-Mahi, fighting for its life, alongside the three Ruiz's…that were each taking down a Mahi-Mahi of their own.

That night, and every night after that in Playa del Coco, we ate delicious sea food (I'm still vegetarian…although I make a big exception for sea food) cooked by the one and only Capitán Borracho (who got that nickname one night when a half gallon of Flor de Caña was drank).

Widge and Pete spoiled us rotten…and plumped us up nicely before sending us off on our travels again.

At one point, when I was sitting in a nice little coffee shop one day…who do I happen to see but our long lost friend Kujat!So that night we delved into the Flor de Caña…yet again, and, in Kujat's words…were still a complete "Gongshow."Playa del Coco with Widge and Pete can be summed up in a few words: we drank, we went fishing, we ate, we slept…and then we started the whole cycle over again.It was definitely a nice lifestyle.

And then we took a little excursion to Rio Celeste!Words don't quite do Rio Celeste justice…and neither do pictures.If you want to experience Rio Celeste, a unique phenomenon unto its own, you just have to go there.The water of the river is of a bright sky blue and it's right in the middle of the jungle.Tina and I went swimming in the waterfall and we were the only ones there and it was probably one of my most memorable moments.After spending a week with Widge and Pete and having a great time…it was finally time for us to leave.The next destination: Monteverde.

There we definitely had a good time…especially because we went ZIP-LINING!!!!It's amazing looking over the jungle from so high…and whizzing through clouds and mist…really incredible.

Plus there were all these surprises on the zip-lining tour.We got to swing on this HUGE tarzan type swing…and got to repel down a tall platform in a tree.

And after spending a few days around Monteverde we decided to head back to our beloved Nicaragua!There we definitely got stuck in León, again…and did some amazing hikes.

Then the day, believe it or not, came when Tina and I separated!I am now in Utila doing all kinds of diving training and she's taking Spanish courses in Nicaragua!

Separating was sad…and we were both definitely teary-eyed…but there you go!

So much has happened and changed and in so little time.

We are both happy and well, and I've moved into a nice little house with Captain Jack Attack, Taylor and Number Two (our dog that looks like a deer) and I really love our little family!
