Hey Everybody,
We have got to see and taste some of the highlights of this trip, so far. Today, unfortunately, the trio left Devin and I to go to Edinburgh, but we will see them soon. We decided to change our plans and go to Ireland for 3 or 4 days. We are going to spend one night in Belfast and then a couple in Dublin. That should be a lot of fun. Today, Dev and I went to the Glenmorangie Distillery. The information we got from the tour was similar to the Glenlivet tour, but we got to take pictures. It was really worth doing both tours, because its interesting to hear the slight differences in what they use, like barrel types, to make their own unique taste. I tasted four different types of Glenmorangie and I'm bring home the winner of the taste test. Loch Ness was beautiful, like everything else, but the castle tour was the best part. We took a boat tour from a northern part of the lake and it took us to a lake front castle, Castle Urquhart. Those are the castle pictures in the Loch Ness photo album. The history of the castle is pretty interesting, due to the constant changing of rulers. It seems that nobody guarded the castle very well, so it got raided constantly, so finally the Clan Grants (the last group in control of the castle) took everything out of it and blew it up. No, I didn't see Nessie, but I can understand why there is a myth, because of the enormous size of the lake and the fog cover that comes in. We are going to go to Isle of Skye tomorrow and stay the night in Fort Williams. Time is flying by.
