New Zealand life so far…..
It's been exactly a month since I was picked up from the airport by my aunt and half asleep cousin. I'm living in a place called Torbay which is a 20 minute drive from Auckland city with my dads younger brother - Gideon his wife- Maryanne and 4 kids- Daniel, Richard, Sarah and Joanne and 2 student's David from Spain and Mickey from Japan, so its one big happy/busy family.
I'm driving a Nissan bluebird (a bit different from a small fiat punto). I have a job in a pub/restaurant called Speight's ale house where I'm currently being trained so its all a bit slow at the moment but hopefully there give me more hours when I know a bit more, met some good friends there, which was my aim in getting a job! I also have a job coaching trampolining (of course) the rules for trampolining is completely different over here, so taking a while to get used to them.
So far I've been luge-ing with the family it's a popular thing here, it's basically a go-kart with no pedals or engine just the frame with a lever for steering which if u push up brakes and pull down makes u go faster. To get up the hill you sit in the kart on a massive escalator then push off and roll to a track (fast, medium or scenic route) and roll down, its so dangerous it fun! I haven't really been able to do much as I hadn't had the friends to do things with, but now that's changing I'm planning so much to do. Already been clubbing in Auckland city, very fun! And hope to travel the south island at the beginning of Feb, but well see.
