Sunday we did a road trip to Port MacDonnell. We didn't really take much notice originally, but the coast was only a 30 minute drive away. What difference in the weather on the coast. It was beautiful and sunny with clear blue skies. The beach was littered with incredible chunks of limestone in all sorts of amazing shapes having been hewn by surf and wind over the years. A fossicker's delight. And that is me!
We drove out on the sea wall amongst the would-be fisher people. Not much catching going on but it was such a great place and so nice to spend time in the sun at the ocean. We drove along the coast, past such a glorious rugged limestone coastline, the rock forming amazing shapes and monolithic columns, to the southern-most point of South Australia. Awesome views! Awesome coastline.
Back to camp and into a fantastic sunset. It’s weird that there have been a couple of nights when the clouds on the horizon lift long enough for an amazing red sunset. All of us have taken thousands of sunset photos, so feel free to skip over these, however you won’t know what you’ve missed J
Moving along tomorrow, so time to get our stuff together ready to roll in the morning.
