Saturday - one week since we got back

Wow. Woke up this morning to see the news about the huge earthquake and flooding that has hit New Zealand, exactly where we were supposed to be! Clearly some things happen for a reason and it looks like it was in fact a good time to come on home.

Week one of being in the UK has been interesting. Key foods such as Marmite, roast dinner and treacle sponge pudding have all been consumer, as have proper English sausages. In fact, Hannah spent a whole day with her parents tasting local produce on a sunny day out in Chichester.

In other news, we have been and wandered around Worthing town and reacquainted ourselves with the local habitat and the creatures that live within it. It ain't a pretty sight! Not sure what our next move is but pretty sure some of the savings might have to go on some escapes somewhere other than here! No other real activity this week, besides Hannah doing a babysitting bakeathon with Oscar and Eva (where she also taught them about business).

And finally, Nik has returned to work and has obtained a hospital referral for his busted knee and bad back. Hannah does not have a job, but is looking for one in between doing washing and trying to win holidays.
