Flores in Brief We stayed in Flores at Labuhanbajo for a few days. The local mosque was audible from the hotel, but as there is no real choice on where to stay, we went with it. 'Breakfast' was slightly stale sweetened bread with honey on it. The boat trip to KomodoHad breakfast at the Puri Bunga, which was not a pancake - rejoice. Toast with two flavours of jam and an omelette and orange juice constitutes gourmet cooking here. Got picked up at our hotel by the Perama bus for a 3 day/2 night boat trip to Komodo and beyond, well worth not sweating down the road with the backpack. Day 13Had an early start to get some brekkie then go and get the boat to Lombok which has a different indigenous people (the Sasak) and religion (Islam) to Bali and is much more underdeveloped, so it should be interesting to see.Hannah has not been very well in the guts so was not looking forward to the boat journey. The boat was some sort of wooden contraption that did not look safe for seafaring and had people jammed into it, but we got to Bangsal pretty quick....

Day 9 - on Gili T Hannah was poorly last night as it was very hot and she had eaten too much including fish. However, this is the first touch of Bali belly she has had on the trip and so it isn't a disaster. We sat on the veranda of the room and Mooki brought us breakfast. Nik had more banana pancakes and this time tried Lombok coffee - apparently very different and chocolatey in taste. Hannah had toast and jam and tea. Mooki cooked it all on a little camping...
