Yay it is sunny and I am wearing a T Shirt! Arrived in town just after lunch and no more jumper, no more scarf - lots of sunshine and yes it is warm in fact I saw a temperature sign of 30 degrees.

Had a lovely walk around town to orient myself - didnt get too lost. I have never seen so many cafes, restaurants, sidewalk dining and lots of yummy food everywhere. Not sure if anyone does anything else that sitting around eating and drinking....

My first impressions are that the architecture is amazing - such variety and so condensed. It is so different to anything I have every experienced before and I think I am going to like it. As I stepped out of the hotel to walk up the road I found it hard to believe that the wide pavement is actually travertine tiles and goes on for a very long way - how incredible.
