Started reading Mendoza, and then couldn't stop myself from laughing out loud when reading about the Fernet in Bariloche. It's now past 1am on a school night and I keep reading 'just one more'. This is brill! You write exceptionally well. Funny, interesting, and A+ for punctuation and grammar ; ) (once a teacher, always a teacher)Better than my lonely planet. Got a bit bored of that. enjoy the rest of your travels. All sounds amazing.

I love looking at your journal as it makes me remember all the things i've done lol. Your photos are great. Hope you are enjoying New Zealand :-) When you off to Asia? You will love it. *Fi & Hen* xx

Hi Guys
Amazing blog and amazing photos! Dean should be a travel writer. He is funnier (and better looking) than Bill Bryson ;-p
Seriously good to hear what you've been up to. Steve is so jealous of your "death road" trip and is desperately trying to persuade me to do it - no chance! I am bad enough when a lorry comes near me. I wobble all over the place.
Keep on posting and having an amazing time. Love and miss you lots.

Bernardo O'Higgins, independence leader and co-liberator of Chile from the Spanish around 1817/1818, whose statue you photographed in Pucon, lived from the age of 17 to 20 years old in Richmond upon Thames, sent to England to complete his studies in History and the Arts. He lived in a very fine house and large garden just up behind the lower part of Richmond Hill, which is still there to this day with a large blue plaque proclaiming his earlier occupancy. I know you will be fascinated to learn this.
Katy's Mum (Copying Dean's Mum - Hi Angela!)
A 'big' read to catch up (Bolivia to Argentina) - there are two things to say: I have a huge amount of places to see before I die (happy thought!) and you two are adding rapidly and, when Dean has time, I shall explain Katy's fascination with cemeteries (I blame it all on her Aunt Katherine!). Looking forward to you both moving away from the red meat. Terrific blog and photos - keep them both coming. Thinkin of you both. Mum xx

Hey - stacks more great stories and pictures - you will have enough for a book by the time you get back. Where are you now?....either still whacking around Argentina or maybe crossed back to Chile......

Good times and happy days in Cafayate but the Bolivian photographs are the most amazing, the most stunning, the most beautiful yet. Is it as silent as it looks?

Yet another great blog and wonderful photos, good to hear from you at last, - was thinking of starting our own blog from our holiday to Tossa De Mar in September - what do you think ? x

Weeeell! Haven't got through all the writing yet but nosed all the pics, and yes you're both very pretty but stop telling Dean he's a model, he'll get a big head! Very glad you've survived the alligators, the squits and the death road and seen a capybara- always fancied copping a glance of one- during your massive adventure so far. I'm dead jealous. Just keep us posted on where it is you're planning to set up Dean and Katy's Swinging Bar and I'll pop over for a couple of months when I'm loaded ;o)
Enjoying all the weird birds and weirder captions and the bits I've read seem hilarious.
Lots of red, white and blue love x

Just spent a lunch break having a good old nose of your blog...make sure you keep it coming. Can I get email notification when you update it so I don't forget to check - haha! You guys look really happy and well, feel so bad for you regards the poorly tummies but sounds like it might be nearing the end and fingers crossed that you both stay well now. Amazing pictures, makes me feel like I'm there. Anyway, lunch over and have to continue answering the phone/emails and wiping bums in the office. Don't be too jealous. Love you lots, be safe, Donna, XXX
