Hey guys!

I now have a plan for the next two weeks which is very reassuring as we thought we might actually be homeless for christmas as every single hostel is completely booked up!

We are back in Surfer's paradise for a few days now, and have booked our first surfing lesson for tomorrow (yay!) then we have another day here for surfing or chilling. After that we need to get toback up to Brisbane to catch a plane to Airlie beach which is going to be our base for quite a while as it is right by the great barrier reef. We are going to go scuba diving there and then have an exciting 3 day 2 night cruise around these paradise islands called the Whitsunday Islands over christmas. (http://www.seethewhitsundays.com/opp/tours/defender/index.html) It picks us up on christmas eve and we get back on boxing day so now we are actually looking forward to christmas now because there is no way we can compare it to being back at home. Its on a fancy boat called the British Defender and only 30 people are coming so there should be a good atmosphere as long as I don't get sea sick! I'm going to bring loads of sea sickness tablets with me!

Not much planned for tonight, just going out for some dinner now and its all very exciting because we have a tv in our room (such luxury!!) so we'll probably just stay in and watch that! We need to be up early to surf so need a good nights sleep. We went in the sea today for a bit but the waves here are so huge they are really scary, I kept getting thrown upside down! I think the surf lesson only lets you into water up to your ankles though so I should be pretty safe! Our instructor is the ex champion surfer of Australia as well so it'll be cool to meet him.

If mum is putting up the christmas decorations then I guess everyone else must have theres up by now. I hope the doggies aren't attacking your tree Birdie!
