Hiya! We are much further north along the east coast since the last time I wrote. We had to leave Surfer's paradise really early yesterday morning to cath a bus, then train back to Brisbane where we caught a 2 hour flight up to Airlie beach. The weather here is tropical compared to everywhere we have been in OZ so far. It is about 35 degrees and so humid, my hair is not happy!!

We are staying in a tiny little room in the mmiddle of a rainforest so last night there were tons of lizards and things running around outside! We have to walk to the end of the corridore to use the loo so that isn't fun when you have to run there in case a spider gets you! There are loads of parrots sitting in the trees though so during the day it is pretty cool!

Airlie beach is more of a harbour than a beach but there is a brilliant man made lagoon here hwich is like a massive swimming pool but with sand and fresh water so you can pretend to be on the beach without the saltwater!! We're staying in Airlie beach until Monday when we are starting our cruise around the islands. We are going to book a scuba diving trip to the great barrier reef today so we can hopefully do that tomorrow or on Saturday. I have my sea sickness tablets ready for all the boats now!

Only one more day at work everyone, have fun! I'm thinking it might be another cake day today so get your pennies out and head down to greggs! Maybe a christmas lunchtime drink is allowed too! :-)
