Hello everyone!
OMG its amazing here!! Haven't had a chance to write on here yet so lots to say!
Landed in KLIA around 2pm local time and arrived at our hostel at about 5pm. Was not what we were expecting! It looked really nice online but when we got there the room was tiny and nothing worked properly (toilet leaked everywhere!) but we thought it would do for the night (too tired and hot to move). Woke up in the morning to little bugs all over the bed and mozzy net, pretty sure they were fleas! So we packed up and got out very quickly.
Now at a pretty little hostel on Tengkat Tong Shin. We have a lovely clean room and everything works! The people are really friendly and have had lots of chats sitting in the front room whilst smoking lol. We are right by one of the best streets for food in KL. Its all so cheap (14RM for both=3pounds!!) and tastes amazing. Not sure exactly what we're eating most of the time tho!
Our first day we went to the Petronus towers (see pic). They are huuuge! There is a nice park and big fountain/pond behind which is nice. Its so hot though, about 35c at least so walking anywhere is incredibly difficult. After that we went to KL tower where we went to a little rainforest in the middle of the city. Was very beautiful and humid and I (nina) got bitten by spiders we think. Big red/purple bites all over me! Then we had some kuay teow ( noodles) and some chicken.
The next day we went to central market, I got a sarong and a bit of leather for my necklace. Then went down to Jalan Petaling, a street market. Lots of people heckling us as we are very white and look like tourists! (although now getting browner) Went out for an indian on Bukit Bintang, was the best indian I've ever eaten so far and still very cheap. Again not sure exactly wot we ate lol. The manager here keeps bringing us amazing pakora's and samosa's everyday, he very sweet!
Today we went to a chinese temple or two and then a mosque. All very pretty and peaceful considering we are in a massive city! Also saw a man on a bike with about 6 cats and a monkey dressed in clothes! Then walking back to our hostel there was a man in a little truck with mattresses packed in the back, he beeped and shouted "u buy mattress?" lol.
It rains everyday at about 6pm and its the heaviest, loudest rain I've ever seen but it lasts about an hour and then it dries up so quickly! The thunder that comes with it is immense too! Sooo loud!
We are about to go out for some more lovely delicious food and then we are leaving for Ipoh tomorrow on the train. Not sure where we are staying yet but its a bit quieter and smaller with lots of temples so should be good.
Hopefully we will have somewhere with internet so will let you know how we get on. We haven't uploaded any photo's yet as it takes about a day so hopefully will be able to next time!
Much love to you ALL, hope everything is cool there.

Dad Attoe Hey Son, amazing entry, I never knew you could spell :-), I assume Nina was helping. Was good to chat to you the other morning, shame the 10 minutes went so quick. Washed and polished your car at the weekend, did you know it was green? :-) Going to do the oil, plugs and filter change this weekend. Make sure you put on the blog how the train journey was, always wondered what their trains were like but never got the opportunity to find out. Enjoy Ipoh, went there quite a few times but mainly for ceremonies, so I didn't actually get to see much of the area. Stay out of the Karaoke bars, they are crap and the beers expensive - trust me :-)
