Day 2 Nelson-Greymouth

I got up early the next day to get the bus but managed to miss it as I was waiting round the wrong side of the hostel! However, all was not lost I went to the bus station and got on a shuttle to the first destination they were heading for, Greymouth. I actually arrived in Greymouth before the magic bus so I booked into a hostel with a spa and free tea and coffee and went on a little walk to get some panoramic views of the town. Later that evening I met up again with the others from the bus and because we missed the Monteiths brewery tour that day we decided to do our own. There were some interesting flavours ranging from ales flavoured with coffee to lagers flavoured with lime (an old classic!). I was sensible keeping to one that I knew I liked and let the others buy the others from which I sampled!! This pub was very much a locals pub with it's very own one armed pool player and bar stool mounting dwarf! Quite a sight let me tell you, but it made Greymouth a bit more interesting.
