Sun 01 - Sun 29 Sept:

So, I've been in Texas for 3 weeks, as I broke up the trip by going to Miami and The Bahamas.

In Texas I've been relaxing, eating and felaxing!

It is awesome to be staying with my cousin and seeing her again for the first time in around 3 and a half years. I met my aunt for the first time and cousins Scott and Rory. It was so strange because I feel like I've known them forever already :/

I also got to meet Gena's husband Stephen and their gorgeous little 10 month old daughter, Presley. She's a cutie :-) I also met Taylor, Stephen's son and Rory's little family.

The first night I was here Gena took me to a place called Mo's, where Stephen sings, there was a dance floor space for the proper Texan dancing. She introduced me to a shot called Red Velvet, it was sooo good, it tasted just like a cake, but one was enough... when the bar called last orders I thought Gena was going to the bar to pay the tab, no.. She was getting another round of beer and Red Velvet. Oh my god it was downhill from there, I was so drunk, Gena had to pull over on the way home for me to be sick... Sorry Gena! Lol.

My first weekend Gena took me tubing. For the friends and family at home that don't know what that is... nor did I! But it's where you sit in a big inner tube, and just float down a river. It was awesome! Something that I definitely want to do again. The girls I was with couldn't believe I had never even heard of it before, it's a regular thing here.

Over that weekend we played a load of drinking games, there was a really fun card game.. Cards Against Humanity (?) Maybe.. and flip cup aaaand a few others that I can't remember now. I introduced them to Ping Pang Pong (thanks Aaron!).

The next weekend we went to a water park in Galveston called Schlitterbahn which was awesome. Then we travelled to Killeen the next weekend to see my cousin Rory, his wife Kayla and their children.

The last week here I booked a round trip flight to Miami and The Bahamas, so I've only spent 3 weeks in Texas.

I'm now getting ready to go to lunch before going to the airport to travel to the Cook Islands! I'm so excited to be going to The Crown Beach Hotel.
