El Salvador I´m sure you are a beautiful country full of surf, nature and gun crime but I just didn´t have time to say hi.

The journey to El Salvador was a long and tiresome affair. Having not bought a ticket the day before we rock up in La Entrada having already got up at 4am to leave Copan to be told that we cannot get on the nice comfy bus to El Salvador as won´t be stopping. Therefore we waiting on the side of a road with some chickens for the local bus to the border (I had to stand and wasn´t impressed). Once at the border we had to get a taxi to get stamped out of El Honduras and into El Salvador. Then clamber onto a moving bus that was headed for El Salvador. Madre Mia. However instead of paying the $45 for the nice bus, we only paid $7. Bargain!

Our 24 hours in El Salvador consisted of buying a bus ticket out, taxi ride to the mall (you cannot really walk around otherwise you may die) and buying some pizza from a well known brand that I am too ashamed to mention.
