December 11th They threw all our food away in the communal fridge because we wrote an incorrect date on the bag (wrong by 12 hours)… damn those prison guards! We didn't care… well we did but held our heads high, for we were off into the outback in our new chariot; a well stocked and equipped Toyota Landcruiser. December 4th G'day Australia! Sorry, couldn't resist.Having done Melbourne and Darwin airports with added surprise connections we eventually found Darwin city… Snakes on a Plane… this place is humid. How can a planet so far away from the sun be home to a city that is hotter than the surface of the sun!? November 18th ...and so we had a lovely 3 hour ferry trip going very close to several Islands but I'm sure the captain knew what he was doing! We weren't looking forward to this boat as we'd been warned the water gets very choppy but we escaped once again. November 6th Many hours of airports flying and overly smiley Qantas staff, although their food is much better than BA, and we hit Auckland…. Bit of a bounce but we hit it. We had to go through some ridiculous Bio Hazard Zone - they seem a little paranoid here about bringing in new species and food!?
