So we're in Texas now and yes it is big!! Spent the night in Van Horn and then went off to Fort Davis in the morning. Romped around with our camera in the sand dunes of White Sands National Monument. It's a shame we didn't have any kind of boards to go sliding down them but never mind. We waited till sunset and then headed back to camp.

Mesilla is a town where Billy the kid used to hang out. Had a few refreshing drinks in the bar above which is one of the original buildings and you can tell inside. The bar is very crooked and it's all dark and moody, loved it! Fortunately we ran out of cigarettes so had to leave, otherwise I might have stayed all night and started seeing Billy the Kid. On our way to New Mexico we stopped in Bisbee which was a cute little town, with houses very similiar to some New Zealand houses, bar the big cactus's outside. We also came across an old deserted mining town, Granite Gap. The wind was rattling all the falling down buildings and I'm suprised they were still as intact as they were.

Thought we better check out where the big OK Corral shoot out happened. It was fun to see all the places where Wyatt Earp and Doc Holliday used to hang out. We even had our own little stint at being a gunslinger and a saloon girl.
