Hello all
Sorry that it has been a while since we last wrote but as we are now in Queenstown not much is really going on. However last week two of Bens friends from home came to visit us! Sean and Andrew!!! It was soooooo nice to see them, couldnt quite beleive they were here when we met them in the airport.. and also couldnt get to grips with how pale they were!! hehe after getting them into the hostel we had some food (20" pizza) and headed out for their first night in Queenstown.. lets say after flying for 30 hours the night didnt last too long. Plus they had to get an early night for their fun packed day tomorrow!!!
On their second day in Queenstown Ben, Sean and Andrew decided to go and do the ledge bungy jump, It is 40m high and you are attached by the middle so that you can jump out any way you like.. The guys didnt seem too nervous.. although the bungy guy dd ask Andrew if he was always that pale..they all opted for the run and jump method.. with Seans looking more like a dive than a jump! Safe to say i think they all loved it and wanted to do it again!
Ater that we all headed up the mountain to do a bit of louging (go carting) the guys of course got into race mode, and ben recorded it all on his go pro! I think that it was level with andrew and ben with sean comin in last and me not being counted as i liked to get a headstart before being rammed off the track!
The next few days the guys were shown to the bars.. food places and general sites of queenstown including frisbe golf (bens new sport) We drove to wanaka one day as they wanted to do a skydive.. however the weatehr was too cloudy so we opted for mini golf!! :)
In order to give them the full Queenstown experience, Ben and I took the guys to Furgberger, where we all ordered the biggest burgers on the menu - the BIG AL!!!!! now I can really remember all the fillings as there are soooo many but it weighed a lot.. we allsat down and started to munch away.. believe it or not BEN was teh first to give up, followed by andrew then sean... yes thats right they were all beated by ME a girl! woop! safe to say i was full for the rest of the day!
Their last night was a monday. which means...nomads bar crawl. Due to the superbowl being on that day the theme was sports..so we all put on our porty outfits for a very merry last night!! The guys left us and headed north to see the rest of this amazing country.. think Ben was sad to see them go and it was nice to have a taste of home for a few days. We hope they enjoyed the little snippet of our lives!
From Queenstown with love
Nikki and Ben xx
