Hello Everyone!

So from now on the blogs may be a bit shorter as the kiwi bus only stops in places for a few days unless we opt to stay longer.

We had one day back in Auckland to sort ourselves out before getting on the Kiwi bus early Tuesday morning heading south to the coromandal peninsula - hot water beach. The trip wasn't too long and most people slept the whole way. The hostel that we were staying in was brand new and very nice, and after settling in we all headed down to a gorgeous bay and had a play on the beach and in the VERY cold sea, The water was so clear and we were in a little bay that had caves and rock arches that you could go and explore, it was so peaceful and beautiful. After some beach time we all got to know each other over dinner and waited until midnight to go down to the beach as at low tide, you can dig yourself a hot water pool in the sand due to the geothermal activity. There is a reason it is called hot water beach and not warm water, the pools we dug were boiling and we had to add cold sea water to them to even stand in them! By the time the novelty had worn off everyone was very sleepy and we had to be up early in the morning to head to Waitomo.
